Dress Code for 2008 - 2009
PANTS
§ Solid Colors -Khaki/tan, Navy/black
§ Pants must come to the ankle and be regular cut.
§ Pants must be hemmed or cuffed. No holes in pants
§ Pants must have belt loops and a belt must be worn at waistline

SHIRTS
§ Golf shirts with buttons in solid colors - long or short sleeves
§ Solid white or solid blue oxford cloth, button down shirts
§ Students may wear Hixson Middle School shirts or Hixson Middle School hoodies, with no inappropriate or suggestive writing or pictures.
§ Solid color sweatshirts, sweaters, or vests may be worn over golf shirts or the blue or white oxford cloth shirt.
§ Shirts must be tucked into your pants.

OUTERWEAR:
§ Coats and jackets must be put in lockers upon arrival to school.
§ No hats or head coverings (bandannas) permitted on school property

ADDITIONAL DRESS CODE NOTES
§ Clothing may not have holes or tears.
§ ALL clothing must be sized appropriately (no sagging pants).
§ No visible body piercing, except earlobes.
§ No writing on clothing or skin.
§ No sunglasses.
§ No logos larger than a quarter size.
§ Jewelry and belts must be school appropriate (no suggestive writing)

DRESS DOWN DAYS - as announced at various times during the year may include: Jeans (no holes), Shorts to the knees, Capris, striped or print collared shirts, with long or short sleeves.

The administration of Hixson Middle School reserves the right to add or delete from our school dress code, in order to maintain a proper educational environment.
